What date is 60 days from today?

The date at the top is today’s date plus 60 days, worked out live on your device, so this page is right whatever day you open it. Today counts as day 0 and the date shown is day 60. To count from another day, such as the date on a letter or an invoice, tap the start date.

60 days is 8 weeks and 4 days, so the date falls 4 weekdays later than today: if today is a Monday, 60 days from today is a Friday.

Two examples to check a deadline: counted from January 1, 2027, 60 days later is Tuesday, March 2, 2027; counted from July 1, 2027, it is Monday, August 30, 2027. To check by hand, jump 8 weeks ahead, which keeps the weekday, then count 4 more days.

60 days and the deadlines that use it

Sixty days is eight weeks and four days. Two calendar months, by contrast, last 59 to 62 days depending on which months they are, so “60 days” and “two months” rarely land on the same date.

WARN Act notice. US employers with 100 or more employees must give at least 60 calendar days’ written notice before a plant closing or a mass layoff, according to the Department of Labor.

IRA rollovers. If you receive money from a retirement account to roll it over yourself, you have 60 days to deposit it in another eligible account. Miss the deadline and the amount is generally taxed as income, possibly with a 10% additional tax before age 59½. A direct transfer between institutions avoids the clock entirely.

Net 60 payment terms give 60 days from the invoice date. Counted in weekdays, 60 days hold 42 to 44 business days.

Nearby counts: 45 days from today and 90 days from today. For any other number of days, or the days between two dates, use the date calculator.

Questions

Is 60 days the same as two months?

What is the 60-day rollover rule?

When you take a distribution from an IRA or retirement plan to roll it over yourself, you must deposit it in an eligible account within 60 days, or it is generally treated as taxable income.

How many weekdays are in 60 days?

Between 42 and 44 weekdays, Monday to Friday, depending on the starting day and before removing public holidays.
