What date is 30 days from today?
The date at the top is today’s date plus 30 days, worked out live on your device, so this page is right whatever day you open it. Today counts as day 0 and the date shown is day 30. To count from another day, such as the date on a letter or an invoice, tap the start date.
30 days is 4 weeks and 2 days, so the date falls 2 weekdays later than today: if today is a Monday, 30 days from today is a Wednesday.
Two examples to check a deadline: counted from January 1, 2027, 30 days later is Sunday, January 31, 2027; counted from July 1, 2027, it is Saturday, July 31, 2027. To check by hand, jump 4 weeks ahead, which keeps the weekday, then count 2 more days.

30 days is not always a month
Months have 28, 29, 30 or 31 days, so “30 days” and “one month” only match when the month in between has 30 days. Date rules add a month by keeping the same day number, or the last day of a short month:
| Start | + 30 days | + 1 month |
|---|---|---|
| January 15, 2027 | February 14 | February 15 |
| January 31, 2027 | March 2 | February 28 |
| February 1, 2027 | March 3 | March 1 |
| April 1, 2027 | May 1 | May 1 |
| July 1, 2027 | July 31 | August 1 |
So read the wording. A return policy of “30 days”, a 30-day notice for a month-to-month lease or a “net 30” invoice counts days, while “one month’s notice” counts from date to date. The old rhyme helps: thirty days hath September, April, June and November; all the rest have thirty-one, except February alone.
Thirty days is four weeks and two days, so the date falls two weekdays after today.
Nearby counts: 21 days from today and 45 days from today. For any other number of days, or the days between two dates, use the date calculator.
