What date is 21 days from today?
The date at the top is today’s date plus 21 days, worked out live on your device, so this page is right whatever day you open it. Today counts as day 0 and the date shown is day 21. To count from another day, such as the date on a letter or an invoice, tap the start date.
21 is a whole number of weeks, so the date always falls on the same weekday as today.
Two examples to check a deadline: counted from January 1, 2027, 21 days later is Friday, January 22, 2027; counted from July 1, 2027, it is Thursday, July 22, 2027. To check by hand, jump 3 weeks ahead, which keeps the weekday, then stop there.

Three weeks, and the 21-day habit myth
Twenty-one days is exactly three weeks, so the date falls on the same weekday as today. It is a popular length for challenges: 21 days of exercise, of journaling, of no sugar.
The idea that a habit takes 21 days goes back to Psycho-Cybernetics, a 1960 book by the surgeon Maxwell Maltz, who wrote that it takes “a minimum of about 21 days” for an old self-image to dissolve. The word “minimum” got lost along the way. When researchers at University College London followed 96 people building a new daily habit, published in the European Journal of Social Psychology, the behavior took 66 days on average to become automatic, with a range from 18 to 254 days. Three weeks is a good start, not a finish line: the 60 days from today page gets you closer to the average.
Another true 21: chicken eggs take 21 days to hatch.
