St. Theodosius the Cenobiarch, January 11
Theodosius founded a large monastery near Bethlehem in the late 400s, with separate houses for monks, the sick, the elderly and travelers. He was named head of all the monks of Palestine. He died in 529, said to be over 100.
January 11 has no celebration on the General Roman Calendar, so this page follows the Roman Martyrology, which remembers Saint Theodosius the Cenobiarch, abbot on this date.
