St. Bonaventure, July 15
A Franciscan from central Italy, Bonaventure (1221-1274) taught in Paris with his friend Thomas Aquinas and became minister general of his order. He wrote the official life of St. Francis and mystical works like The Journey of the Mind into God. He is a Doctor of the Church.
