Sts. Mark and Marcellian, June 18
Twin brothers and deacons in Rome, Mark and Marcellian were arrested under Diocletian. Their family begged them to give in, but St. Sebastian encouraged them to stand firm. They were executed around 286 and buried on the Via Ardeatina.
June 18 has no celebration on the General Roman Calendar, so this page follows the Roman Martyrology, which remembers Saints Mark and Marcellian, martyrs on this date.
