Sts. Crispin and Crispinian, October 25
By tradition, Crispin and Crispinian were brothers who preached in Soissons, Gaul, while working as shoemakers and charging the poor nothing. They were martyred around 285. Shakespeare made their feast famous in Henry V’s speech before Agincourt.
October 25 has no celebration on the General Roman Calendar, so this page follows the Roman Martyrology, which remembers Saints Crispin and Crispinian, martyrs on this date.
