St. Isidore of Seville, April 4
Bishop of Seville from about 600 to 636, Isidore gathered the learning of the ancient world in his Etymologies, the standard encyclopedia of the Middle Ages. He organized schools and councils in Visigothic Spain. He is a Doctor of the Church and is sometimes proposed as patron of the internet.
