Bl. Jordan of Saxony, February 13
Jordan succeeded St. Dominic as master of the Dominicans in 1222 and drew hundreds of university students into the order. His letters to Bl. Diana d’Andalò are among the warmest of medieval spiritual writing. He drowned in a shipwreck in 1237.
February 13 has no celebration on the General Roman Calendar, so this page follows the Roman Martyrology, which remembers Blessed Jordan of Saxony, priest on this date.
