St. Juliana of Nicomedia, February 16
Juliana was a young Christian of Nicomedia, in Asia Minor, who refused to marry a pagan prefect. She was tortured and beheaded around 305 under Diocletian. Her cult spread to Italy and the Low Countries.
February 16 has no celebration on the General Roman Calendar, so this page follows the Roman Martyrology, which remembers Saint Juliana, virgin and martyr on this date.
