St. Conrad of Piacenza, February 19
A nobleman of Piacenza, Conrad started a hunting fire that destroyed fields and let an innocent man be condemned for it. He confessed, paid for the damage and gave away everything, then lived as a Franciscan hermit in Sicily. He died in 1351.
February 19 has no celebration on the General Roman Calendar, so this page follows the Roman Martyrology, which remembers Saint Conrad of Piacenza, hermit on this date.
