Seven Holy Founders of the Servites, February 17
In 1233, seven well-off merchants of Florence left their businesses to live together in prayer and penance on Monte Senario. They founded the Order of Servants of Mary, the Servites. The last of them, St. Alexis Falconieri, died in 1310.
On the General Roman Calendar, February 17 is an optional memorial: The Seven Holy Founders of the Servite Order.
