St. Perfectus of Córdoba, April 18
A priest of Córdoba under the Umayyad emirate, Perfectus answered frankly when some Muslims asked his opinion of their faith. Accused of insulting the Prophet, he was beheaded in 850. He was the first of the martyrs of Córdoba recorded by St. Eulogius.
April 18 has no celebration on the General Roman Calendar, so this page follows the Roman Martyrology, which remembers Saint Perfectus, priest and martyr on this date.
