St. Barnabas, June 11
A Jew from Cyprus, Barnabas sold his field to support the first Christians in Jerusalem. He vouched for the newly converted Paul when the apostles were afraid of him, then traveled with him on mission. Acts calls him “a good man, full of the Holy Spirit.”
On the General Roman Calendar, June 11 is a memorial: Saint Barnabas, Apostle.
